About me...

"I am a trauma-focused therapist. I moved to Western North Carolina from Kazakhstan in 2004. I obtained my bachelor’s in psychology from UNCA and my Master of Social Work from Simmons University in Boston. I approach my clinical work from a multi-disciplinary lens. While having studied many therapeutic modalities, I draw from a person-centered perspective first and foremost. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy  (EMDR) and utilize it as a resource often, and see great benefits when working with trauma, OCD, and grief. I want to meet you exactly where you are and create a collaborative relationship to help you achieve your best version of mental wellness. I like to use humor as a nonconventional tool in therapy. I believe it's one of the best resources in my clinical practice, and we don't give it enough credit.

Before joining Daya Mental Health, I worked in community mental health and group practice spaces, supporting both children and adults living with trauma, depression, anxiety, severe and persistent mental health issues (SPMI), and addiction. I am dedicated to helping others achieve mental health wellness and access their fullest potential. I affirm the value of diversity and difference in my professional relationships and practices as an ally to BIPOC and LGBTQIA + individuals.

Because we are all multifaceted, outside of work, I'm listening to the best podcasts, enjoying a diverse playlist of music, reading all too many books at once, or navigating yet another scientific experiment with my children."

Lets work together
