About Me...
Hi and welcome to my page, I’m so glad you’re here. As a counselor, I have worked in a variety of settings, and have assisted clients of various life stages step into their truths to uncover their resilience. I graduated with my Masters in clinical mental health counseling from Western Carolina University. I use a variety of techniques to support each individual wherever they are on their healing journey. I particularly enjoy working with folks that tend to feel that they ‘don’t fit in’ and maybe feel ‘out of place’ in this world. I love helping folks that have internalized messages that they are ‘too much’ and sometimes simultaneously feel that they ‘aren’t enough’ uncover who they really are outside of the narrative they’ve been told.
In my work I find that I tend to gravitate towards working with those who are
neurodivergent, have a highly sensitive personality, struggle with rejection sensitivity dysphoria, and have complex trauma. In addition, I am passionate about supporting those that are struggling with body image and disordered eating and/or are navigating the world of eating disorder recovery from a health at every size and body liberation stance.
You too may believe, as I do, that we can embody two disparate truths at once. I believe that human beings can experience pain to the point of feeling utterly broken, while also being incredibly strong and whole. I invite you to show up exactly as you are, with feelings of ambivalence, doubt, or any other barrier that may be holding you back from your healing journey. You can expect me to work as a guide in illuminating internal resources and strengths, offering ideas and support as you choose where you want to move towards. Therapy to me, is akin to the quote by Ram Dass, “We’re all just walking each other home” and I would be honored to walk you home to your healthiest self and to feelings of safety in your body and your place in this world. We need you here.
